Edith Marie Beasley

Edith Marie Beasley of Dixon, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. She was 92 years, 11 months, and 24 days of age.

Edith Beasley was born on January 13, 1917 to her parents: Alfred Jess and Effie (Wolfe) Chilton. Edith was united in marriage to William Temple Beasley on July 23, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Edith was a loving wife and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Edith Beasley is survived by two brothers: Marvin and John R. Chilton both of St. James, Missouri along with several nieces.

Preceding Edith Beasley in death are her parents: Alfred Jess and Effie (Wolfe) Chilton, her husband: William Temple Beasley on January 16, 1980; five brothers: Bill, Alfred, Everett, Bob and Virgil Chilton; and one sister: Sara Sohm.

Memorials may be given to the Adams Cemetery in rural St. James, Mo. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Visitation for Edith Beasley will be from 6 - 8 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 10 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with John Scudder officiating. Songs will be On The Wings Of A Snow White Dove, and How Great Thou Art. Family and Friends will be pallbearers. Graveside Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia, Missouri with burial in the family plot.
